This is the second-half open game thread for the Tennessee Volunteers @ Kentucky Wildcats.
UK takes a 1-point lead into halftime, and Tennessee is hanging in despite lots of guys limping around. DeMarcus Cousins and Wayne Chism both took hard falls in the first half.
Who will pull this out? Hopefully, the team in Blue and White.

Well if we are going to shoot threes
We need Dodson, Miller, or Bledsoe to step up. I don’t think we should rely on J. Wall to hit threes

Liggins will get it done if he gets the ball in the right spot.....he hit one that was waived off and made another

It annoys me to no end when a team consistently gets offensive rebounds....
when they are out of position and the ball bounces right to them. UT has to have 5 of those so far.

Nothing worse
than watching a team that can’t hang with us, slowing the game to molasses. These refs aren’t helping either.
Kentucky games this year have to be the longest regulation games in terms of real time.
I can’t wait to get in the tourney and play some teams that can actually run with us and give us a good game.
Best way to increase pace agaisnst a team that wants ot slow down the t-breds

we tend to give up open looks.
Also, Maze is fast enough to deal with the press.

Every team plays zone against UK. That’s what makes this pitiful display so flabbergsting. It’s like they’ve never faced the 2-3 before.

How long have teams known to zone against Cal, not just here but at Memphis too. You would think he could get these kids to turn into zone killers by now.

playing them at home. If it’s this close in Rupp……they’ll beat us by 20 in Nashville

The calls have been horrid all game on both sides.
The officiating in the SEC as a whole this year has been atrocious.

As just getting UT off-balance with a couple poor possessions, followed by good plays on your end. We got rattled, and with your kind of talent, there are very few teams that can get rattled and still win. Make those runs at the key points, and you’ll keep winning.

It’s amazing how much weight a couple of cokes a day can put on.
Good luck. If I can give some advice, try riding a bike. Great cardio and as long as your bike is set up correctly, it doesn’t impact the knees.

Adjust the seat
so that your knees don’t “bottom out”… At the end of the pedal stroke, you’re knee should still be a smidge bent. Recumbent good for the back too, nice choice…

What an effort, even with things not falling right and getting frustrated by Tennessee defense, the Cats found a way to pull away.
Not a great game, but once again, we were just too much to handle for 40 minutes.

I believe our guys are a little ahead of the curve (with one exception).
UT came ready to play, played well and ran their game plan for most of the game. And it was a double digit win anyway. This win has raised my confidence in this team to a new level.

Just got back from a bar where the UK Alumni Association in Kansas City
got together to watch the game with fellow UK fans. Needless to say it was packed and there were some KU fans in there too. One of them said to us…“Why don’t you all go back to Kentucky.” I thought to myself: “That’s why I can’t stand most KU fans.”
Thems are fighting words, but we kept our composure as the classier fans. GO BIG BLUE!!!
I use to love Happy Meals, now I love sushi, but I will always love Kentucky!
