Probably just getting a look
from the pros to assess their potential and progress.
I woke up feeling BLUE this morning. It's gonna be a great day.
And....
Donald Russell asked for a transfer and it was granted. Joker also says Elliott Porter (practiced but didn’t play) is struggling with homesickness and is weighing leaving as well.
Birmingham, here we come. Vs. Pitt, January 8th, ESPN, 12 noon ET. Mister Cobble may be able to play in the bowl game.
Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!
Yeah.
I knew Russell was going to go, but he needs to. Raymond Sanders is going to replace Locke, and that’s a fact. Russell will always be depth if he stays, and UK has several other promising RB candidates that could have pushed Russell down the depth chart.
I think it is a relatively good sign to see people leaving for lack of PT. It suggests our depth is improving.
A Sea of Blue -- Kentucky Sports for the Discerning Fan
I am giving Joker the benefit of the doubt
To know how to take the football program in the right direction. He is a Kentucky boy, was a UK player, a NFL player, has been an assistant at “football” schools and he understands the football program takes a back seat to the other big game. (His wife is a life-long football fan too). He has already improved recruiting. (The super good HS players will not consider UK yet).
I just do not see how all those things together could not work together to bring the changes that everyone is begging for. It will not be instant, but he has been around UK FB many, many years and I do not believe he feels it is acceptable to allow the program to to remain the way it is when fans want demand positive change. If he can hold off the ones wanting instant success, I think we will be competitive (yes in the SEC), and I really think we will be quite proud.
Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!
And how.
I’m guessing if he’s smart, or at least has some smart people talking to him, that this is simply a venture to hear from the pros what he needs to do to improve his potential. He would be TERRIBLE in the pros right now, but if he improves his senior year….

We will get better
It is going to take more than 3 or 4 years. I just hope Joker is given the time to get the job acomplished.
He is bringing in one of the most talented class of recruits in years to go with the group of young " studs"
we have now. I Have great expectations for the future, although not guiet up to “10 and 2” next year.
If the juniors are ready, they need to be pushed out of the nest. If not, they can come back and make us better next year.
"SPORTS"--Not interested----"CATS"--Pull up a chair,I've got all night.
