Well, looks like it's official: Rick Minter and Steve Pardue are officially hired.
Minter will be co-defensive coordinator, and Pardue will be running backs coach.
The hires have been a foregone conclusion, but the aftermath is what's intriguing. What happens to Steve Brown? Can an incumbent and a new hire co-exist, or will Brown have to go (whether by force or by choice)? It doesn't seem to me two guys can both run a defense unless they have the same philosophies, which would seem to come from learning on the same staff together.
As for Pardue, will this help or hurt the LaGrange, Georgia connection, which has proven so vital to UK getting good athletes on the field?
