Welcome to the second half Open Game Thread.
This one is the same as the one just below, only not as crusty.
The Kentucky Wildcats are up by 15 on the Vanderbilt Commodores at the break. Let's see if Calipairi's lessons of this week have been thoroughly learned. If UK comes out with as much passion and fire as they brought in the first half, this should be fun.
If not ... Well, let's not go there.
Time for a big second half. Go 'Cats!

So why does everyone assume we will lose the #1?
If Kansas wins I agree they probably reclaim it, but if they lose who takes it between UK, Vill and Syr? I don’t see the automatic assumption that we would drop down compared to them.

Why isn’t Cal forcing them to use both big men more often? If PPat was more of a threat inside then Cousins might get more open shots and less double teams.

But his game is from underneath the basket out to about 6’… If that’s all you got, and you’re good at it, which Cuz is, then go with what you got!! As Cuz starts to play a “face-up” game, that will open up the middle more for the flash from the weak side…

In high school,
kids are allowed to ask a question…but in college the Refs have egos bigger than they should have…can learn by asking a question…happens all the time in high school bball. These refs are pretty crappy!

About Cuz
Did anyone else notice that play where PPat went to the basket, missed a layup but was knocked to the ground by a Vandy player, Cuz got the rebound but was fouled? And then Cuz didn’t offer a hand to his fellow player (PPat) and help him up. Anything going on there, maybe?

It's Jan. 30, and we have 20 wins.
Which is pretty amazing considering we got 22 in three of the past four seasons and 18 in the other. It’s nice to be great again.

About PPat's impact
I’d like to see boxscore’s for our games with the +/- column lkike ESPN does for NBA games. It shows how wel the team does when the player is on the floor. I’ll bet that UK is much better with PPat on the floor regardless of hid stats.

I think because Highlands wins a lot of state titles in football. I moved to middle TN. in 1975. Best decision I ever made. The only connection with KY. now is UK basketball and football.
