New Blog: Once A Metro covering Red Bull New York!

Ok, I just joined Sea of blue and would like to share some of my thoughts

First off I am new here but I've been over on BGN for a year or so now. I didn't realize they had one of these for Kentucky. I've been a Kentucky fan for all of my life, in fact my family pretty much pounded it into me from birth. My room is absolutely Wildcated-out... Oh and I misspell alot of things.

Star-divide

OK, I would like to start by saying that this year has a special feeling around it. I cant remember the last time we've been this good. I've pretty much been through the Tubby era and that horrible Gillespie "era"... I have to say Calipari is a fine coach and I really think he will do great things here in Kentucky. Plus he looks kinda like an old Mafia Godfather.

I have to say that John Wall may be the best athlete I have ever seen walk this earth. I think that kid could play any sport and be a stud at it. As a basketball player he's unreal.. If by some long shot god given miracle he stays for one of three more years we could have some amazing records and stuff that will last forever.

Patterson is a beast. He misses a few dunks here and there and as long as the games not super close I just laugh and have a good time with it. It happens its a part of the game. I am also glad to see that he improved his long range shooting alot, I think he will be a favorite in all of our minds forever.

Our big men are insane. We got depth everywhere, however you have to admit that the Wildcats are a different team with Cousins on the floor. His passion, grit and fire help fuel the team during those "dry spells" in a game. I feel that he could be the 2nd or 3rd most important player on the team.

Bledsoe is another young one that I like. The dude's built like a truck and is pretty fast, I can see him being great for us over the next 3-4 years. I think that some games he even outshines Wall. It seems like whenever Wall or Patterson are having trouble Bledsoe pulls through..

Well this is about all I have for right now. I will admit that I dont completely understand basketball and I couldnt name all the positions if you really wanted to quiz me but I do know that Kentucky has something going here and I think it could be magical. I hope you all dont tear me to shreads like some of the people at BGN(philadelphia eages blog).

this shot of bourbon is for you

First time I shot her, shot her in the side.

ok so we can use the acronym

SoB then right??? i was afraid too.. People at BGN can sometimes throw fits about stupid stuff like that..

Im not liking the way this games is going.. Alot of fouls that shouldnt really be fouls(Wall touching the other player with a finger was bs and the ref’s shouldve known it) and there not calling anything on the Gamecocks… Its really bothering me. If we lose because we played bad thats one thing but if we lose because the ref’s couldnt do there job correctly I think thats unexceptable.

Point being I’d rather us lose a correctly called game than win one that the ref’s handed to us.. So i’d like the same in return no matter who we play.

ASoB ...

… is the unofficial acronym, I guess. :-) But either way, nobody around here will be throwing any fits.
