In reading the posts here lately I see that a firm foundation of mere cautious optimism is the prevailing attitude. You like the team. Most of you seem, by my reading, to not recall any precedent for the magic, the fun, the outright gravitas that surrounds this team.
We could easily lay this off to being snake-bit by the last dozen or so years of disappointment. We could also throw in the youth of the team as an additional reason to be cautious. But good night folks, what's it gonna take to make you believe that this team is something special? What will convince you of this team's destiny?
Blow out Tennessee?
Blow out Vandy?
Handily drub the entire state of Mississsippi?
All of the above?
I have a feeling about this team. They seem to be on their way to being a legend in college basketball lore, not least because they themselves seem to want it to be that way, and they have all the chutzpah they need to make it so.
I for one am a believer in this car. I own one myself, and it's parked right there outside the window. ;)
