The Florida Gators will be coming to town on Saturday, and it has been a long, long time since last time UK could count the saurians among their victims. In fact, the last time Kentucky got the best of the reptiles was back in 1986, the year I got out of the U.S. Navy. Soon to be 23 years.
Of course, Kentucky has several long streaks that need to be disposed of, but it looks pretty unlikely that UK will do it this year. Still, everyone thought the same thing when LSU came into Commonwealth a couple of years ago, and look at what happened. So am I saying there's a chance? Well, yeah, our odds of pulling off this upset are at least 10%.
The Gators proved on Saturday that they are not quite as invincible as everyone thought, as Tennessee demonstrated that it is possible to hold down the offensive juggernaut. But Tennessee still lost the game, and in the end, that's all that matters.
Now, for the news.

Cats ready for rematch with Gators | The Kentucky Kernel
It won’t take any extra motivation to get the Cats ready to take on No. 1-ranked Florida on Saturday. UK (2-0) hasn’t beat Florida (3-0) in their last 22 meetings, and last year’s 63-5 pasting against the Gators gives the returning players a fresh memory of an embarrassment most of them said they’d like to put behind them.

Speaking to the Every Day Should Be Saturday blog, Oregon grad Tony Seminary confirmed that he had emailed an invoice to head coach Chip Kelly requesting a refund for the expenses incurred on the trip. And, lo and behold, guess what? Kelly sent Seminary a check a few days later for $439.
Just wow. I have to admit, that was a classy move for the coach, and great PR for the Oregon program.
