How Many Games Will the FOOTBALL Team Win?
Living in the heart of SEC country, there is clearly some football in the air. As usual, most ole miss fans believe their team will go 9-3 - they ALWAYS do, but may get it right this year! The Alabama fans have their swagger back and the UT fans - well, they are still obnoxious. The Arkansas fans are looking for some direction and the Miss State bulldogs are still lost. The Florida fans are quietly confident - understandably so. The LSU fans and UGA fans are hopeful. Not sure about Auburn fans. Even the Vandy fans are excited. Now this is based on all the fans in Memphis (and yes, my son came home yesterday and even said there was a South Carolina fan at his school!) - so we have it ALL in Memphis.
That leaves UK - How many wins will we have?

That darn sister...
.
Wins
Miami (Ohio) RedHawks
Louisville Cardinals
Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks
Mississippi St. Bulldogs
Eastern Kentucky Colonels
Plus one of the following:
@ Vanderbilt Commodores
Tennessee Volunteers
@ South Carolina Gamecocks
But that requires beating either Spurrier on the road, or Tennessee. Not a good history there.
Vandy on the road will obviously not be easy, either.
Hope I’m wrong and they win more!!

I think we get:
Miami
UofL
LM
Miss St
EKU
Vandy
and one upset
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
Optomistic prediction
This is the year we beat Tennessee! And, I finally get those obnoxious Tennessee fans at work off my back!
"You are what you are and you ain't what you ain't"
Hard to believe some crazy person has not voted for 10+ yet...:)
i went with 6 but I can certainly see 7 wins. This could be a weird year where UK upsets someone special and then gets upset by a lesser foe. This could be a wild wild season.
Up until the last few weeks I had been very concerned about Hartline and if he can lead the offense to enough points to win some big games. Most recently things sound a lot better but my feeling is that he is going to be inconsistent. He will show his improvement and look great in several games but have others where he makes some big mistakes. For this feeling alone, I think it will be a wacky season. Anyway that is where I come down.
Go Blue….Kick the Redhawks to the Curb!
Slower Traffic Keep Right!
I was tempted to go 10
especially after my off the cuff fanpost a couple weeks ago. We need to get the first three games under our belt before Hartline’s consistency, the running game and the defense can be fairly evaluated. I’ll be either walking on air or seething mad by then.
As much as I wanted to show full faith in 10+....
I played it conservative and went with only 8….lol….who knows? Still optimistic though and had to choose the Big step forward. It might just be doable. :-)
Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!
MY 2 cents....
for what it’s worth. I feel that just like in years past our main nemesis won’t necessarily be who’s on the field against us, but who WE don’t have on the field. The only thing more consistent than our just over or right at .500 record the past few seasons has been our massive amounts of key injuries. UK football has had the injury bug for sometime now. I hope this year is different, but the SEC is brutal and it’s a long road even if everyone is healthy. Sorry for the pessimism right before the opener. I truly believe we can be great if everyone is on the field, but we are not blessed with the depth of Florida or Georgia so injuries must be prevented at all costs for a successful season. GO CATS!!!
I need a Sea of Blue because I am surrounded by Tennessee orange!
I went 8
And I think this is the year we beat UT………hopefully.
First time I shot her, shot her in the side.
Hard to watch her suffer, but with the second shot she died...
