Zeus of Sport: Cabrera: A Full Time Job
Nice article about Coach Cal by a blogger I have never heard of, but he seems to have done a good job on this effort.

Nearly Perfect
Though basically a rehash it was a good piece. Two points with which to dissent — perhaps it’s a quibble:
1) “infamous Adolph Rupp”, infamous is defined as: known widely and usually unfavorably. Also synonymous with notorious and disreputable. Such inaccuracies and falsities alone are enough to topple Zeus from Olympus.
2) It wasn’t Smith’s inability to hoist another championship trophy that — as intimated by Zeus — did him in. Rather it was the lack of Final Four appearances and a surplus of double-digit loss seasons.

1 And 2
1. Rupp was infamous to some (nationwide) but not to UK fans.
2. Smith was 1 FF short of the UK average (2 FF per 10 seasons). He averaged 8.3 L (not double digits) similar to Hall (7.7 L average). Sutton (10 L) and Gillispie (13.5 L) are the only modern era UK coaches to average double digit L.

And His W-L Stats From Tubby Era Are Wrong, Too
263 W and 83 L over 10 years = 76.0% not 73.4% (as indicated).
