Well, never let it be said that we don't make news around the UK basketball program.

sorry....forgot the link
Take a look at this one…..makes a few things more clear…..appears as though Barnhart might have wanted to have an ace in the hole in case he wanted to go job hunting. This guy may be the WWW of the coaching and AD world…..lol

Shouldn't we be able to see what is alleged?
If they settle out of court wouldn’t it be an admission that Kentucky did commit wrong doing?
Then the record would be sealed.
The citizens and fans would not get to read what our athletic director may or may not have done to cause Gillispie to be released. I don’t buy into the ‘he didn’t fit’ as a reason to void a MOU or contract.
As a season ticket holder in two major sports, I feel I have a right to know what occurred.
Of course if Gillispie drops or loses the suit after all the facts are known then we will feel much better about the leadership of the University and athletic department.
If he goes to trial and he get the total amount plus costs I think a review of the athletic department and its policies may be called for.
Just my opinion.

Not really.
Settling out of court would be nothing more than an agreement to settle the dispute. I don’t think there is really much doubt that UK owes him the money.
If you feel you have a right to know, ask the athletics department. If they don’t tell you, file an open records request under the freedom of information act. You can always contact the UK board or regents and ask them as well.
