Jordan Crawford dunks on LeBron... Nike confiscates the evidence

I heard about this story on The Herd with Colin Cowherd at lunch today.  According to this article:

During a scrimmage Crawford was matched up against LeBron James...and dunks on him. High School prospect Dwight Powell sets the scene:

They were split into teams, and LeBron had his own team. In all the college player’s eyes, I could see a little fire burning, with all of them itching to show what they have against arguably the best player in the world. One player in particular definitely left their mark in Jordan Crawford of Xavier. On an inbounds play, The King was a step slow, and Crawford put a two-hand dunk on him.

I was shocked, but nothing will change my opinion of King James. Jordan Crawford on the other hand has some bounce!"

However the story of the dunk does not end there. After the dunk, LeBron and Nike executives in attendance decided they rather not have video evidence of the dunk get on the internet. Nike officials approached videographers in attendance and confiscated their tapes. This move could have backfired on Nike as the dunk has grown into a legend and has become a hot topic on various basketball related sites on the net.

Jordan Crawford is of course the younger brother of Joe Crawford and was the subject of much conjecture when he transferred from Indiana amidst the Kelvin Sampson debacle.  Its an interesting story.  I havn't dug around enough yet to see if there are videos out there, but from what I'm seeing it looks like the story may be legit.

LeBron and Nike look like pricks in all this.

Oh, I think the story is legit.

The dunk was a topic of discussion on 1st and 10 this morning and as I’m sure most of you know, Skip Bayless has absolutely no use for Lebron James (at least his on-air personality has no use for him) and he, of course, pretty much ripped Lebron into a new one for this.

I found the debate (Jemele Hill was Skips debate partner today) rather funny and other than the fact that he has already shown us that he is a sore loser what with the refusal to shake hands after the Orlando series, I really don’t have a strong feeling for Lebron one way or another and can pretty much take him or leave him.

The story and the actual dunk is good for little Crawford, and yeah, it’s obviously extremely embarrassing for Lebron to be dunked on by a college kid at his own camp, but my goodness, to go to the extra effort to have all the videos confiscated? Please. Grow up man, everybody gets dunked on.

But, having said all that, other than taking a slight image hit by displaying a bit of immaturity, I really don’t think this incident is going to diminish Lebron’s star power all that much. Now, if he fails to win an NBA championship soon, well, that’s another story.

And not to knock your private investigation skills here, chirop — but I highly doubt you will find a video. Good Luck, though. : )

The truth is out there...

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

It DID happen....but now everyone is playing it off

like the videographers didnt know their jobs…..lol….personally I think Lebron is making it worse by not letting it out…..what would have happened??…..Jordan Crawford gets a little face time?….give me a trampoline and a platform and I can dunk on Lebron too…..lol

Remember, we're having fun now!!!
