A possible theme song for this year's football and basketball teams!

Hey ya'll,

I haven't posted here in quite a while.  I have been in the middle of a big move from Nashville, TN back to Lexington, KY!!! (I know, just in time right!)  Anyway, during my contemplation of my return to the Bluegrass it dawned on me that one of our songs from the band I was in Nashville was perfectly themed for this year's football and basketball teams.  I don't really deem this shameless promotion since I am no longer in the band nor does the band exist, I am just an alum of UK and would like to contribute something to the excitement this year!.  The song was actually featured on an episode of "Gossip Girl" (do not hold that against me!!!) and they were kind enough to post it on YouTube.  If you would like to hear it, please click here.  It's called, "The Future Is Where we Belong".  I hope you all like it!

"Seek and Destroy" by Metallica....

would be good too. That’s if anyone likes their music a bit harder. :-)

If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.

Yeah

I’d love to see one of our linebackers or safeties lay someone out or PPat swating a ball into the stands with this song rockin’ in the background.

Like The Song ...

But, the future is now so might have to change title. Also perhaps a stronger percussion finale.

"The prosperity of commerce is now perceived and acknowledged by all enlightened statesmen to be the most useful as well as the most productive source of national wealth, and has accordingly become a primary object of its political cares."

Basketball

This song (Oh Hot Damn This Is My Jam) was actually played at some of the basketball games last year during warm ups or time outs, etc. Doesnt really have much to do with winning necessarily, but definitley got me hyped! I love this song and now I cant hear it without seeing my Cats on the court!

It is not worth an intelligent man’s time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that.

Pretender..... Foo Fighters...

I don’t know how to describe it….. but I personally think this is the best song for the upcoming season in basketball anyways. Enjoy:

So UL's Foo Fighters song has to be:

Long Road to Ruin

If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.

very nice!

I actually love love love love love Gossip Girl—besides the hilarious, over-the-top, bitchy, witty, Dynasty-like fun, they also have some great music. Congrats on making the show, that seems like a really big deal to me. I love this as our b-ball theme : )

shindedown

shinedown fly from the inside would be a great theme song for us.

And "Wasteland" from Shinedown would be the UL song

First time I shot her, I shot her in the side.
Hard to watch her suffer, but with the second shot she died...
