Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

"He [William Wesley] has nothing to do with my son," Witherspoon said after watching Selby in the adidas Super 64 with the Baltimore Assault team. "They have never had lunch together, he's never called my son's phone. He has nothing to do with us."

I am glad to see this,

it does raise the question of why the kid backed out, which I have to confess, I have not heard what reason he gave, just that he was still considering UT as part of the schools he was looking at….along with UK and some others….so lets see where this goes

Remember, we're having fun now!!!

According to one account ...

… it had something to do with Pearl’s offense. For what it’s worth.

Maybe

Scotty Hopson explained to him, that at UT, football is always #1.

I read that, too.

And I actually had to chuckle when I read it because I wasn’t aware that Pearl ran an actual offense.

Here, I thought it was just some random run-around, jack-up-threes-while-sporting-silly-head-apparel-and-hope-you-score type of plan. Silly me. hee, hee, hee : )

Selby

I think the kid just committed too early. He only considered UL and Tenn before he committed. Couple that with his stock rising in the past year and another year of maturity, he probably realized he made his decision too soon and wants to look around to be sure.

We are all thinking about the Selby situation WRONG....

The TRUE conspiriacy is that he de commited for genuine reasons. However, since everyone is so JEALOUS of UK, the rumor started that Selby was controlled by WWW. Since his mom is in control, those not wanting him to come to UK figured that she would be so put off about people thinking WWW controlled the process that she would make sure he did not go to UK…..

So the true conspiracy is not with Cal/WWW/UK but rather with those CRYING conspiracy — you know short of like the smeller is the feller -

Wesley Unfairly Charged

Dana Oneil ESPN draws that conclusion.

"The prosperity of commerce is now perceived and acknowledged by all enlightened statesmen to be the most useful as well as the most productive source of national wealth, and has accordingly become a primary object of its political cares."
