Floyd resigns as Southern Cal coach
This really has nothing whatsoever to do with UK sports, but I still find this interesting given the recent accusations against Floyd.

This really does not surprise me one bit. The NCAA is still investigating the basketball and football programs.

He's doing the right thing.
He may have broken the rules, but I’m glad he didn’t leave USC for Arizona a few months ago. He “manned up” here, so to speak.
I think this will take USC off the national basketball scene in the near future. No prominent coach will want to touch the job because of potential disciplinary constraints imposed by the NCAA, the school is and will always be a football school first, etc.

USC Is A West School Team
Gillispie has no contacts out West.
It would be a terrible hire. Gillispie belongs somewhere in Texas at a lower profile school.
