First, I thought it was interesting that Gillispie “flirted with the Washington State job.”

Second, his comments on Kansas and the academic issues of Darrel Arthur were interesting and his stance on wether Memphis should have to vacate wins is interesting. He basically says if they didn’t know about the SAT, they shouldn’t be punished. I agree… but I think its a slippery slope.

The part I found most interesting though was in reference to his column the other day where he called on the NABC to lobby for a repeal of the one and done rule with the NBA. The NABC has said they are actually pushing for the NCAA to implement a rule similar to baseball where a student would have to stay 3 years if they commit to a school.

This sounds very admirable to me…

Gillispie said Calipari is “the perfect fit. He’s a great recruiter and a great coach. I think it’s awesome, and I’m pulling for them.”

Now that is the way we should all think and act. Just let our difference just be our differences. We cannot change it anyway. So don’t worry, be happy….
