Roster breakdown (official)

There has been a lot of speculation on our part about our roster next year and it was only a matter of time before places like ESPN and Rivals did the same.

http://kentucky.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=943715

Catspause.com breaks down each player we have on scholarship as well as their competition.

We have 16 scolly players and 13 spots..what to do what to do..

If I'm Cal, williams is an obvioius choice. Next would have to be Harrellson and AJ Stewart, (going with the unspoken rule seniors stay on roster) There really isnt much chocie beyond that unless Liggins goes.

What do you all think?

redshirt question

the article you link says that redshirts (along with transfers and walk-ons) are ways to deal with the overload -

what is the definitive answer on redshirts – do they count against the scholly limit or not?

Forty said yes earlier and i went with that until this article implies it is a solution…..

only one rule in my house - uk has to be your favorite college bball team

Redshirts Count IF They Are On Scholarship, Yes

The article would be wrong if it says otherwise.

Red shirts who walk on do NOT count against scholarship limits.

I assume that’s what the article means, and that would in fact be a solution to the problem, as that frees scholarships and preserves NCAA eligibility.

Derek Anderson Did That In 1994-95

He sat out his transfer season as a walk-on redshirt (I think, from memory).
