with the lady ahhhhhhhhing throughout? if so, i’m with oldcat70, i had to turn down the sound. but the highlights were fun!! come Jan 1 watching this team is going to be like a trip through the solar system twice a week!!!

I actually enjoyed the vid and the music

And I am 58, I can appreciate good music. Never knew about Metallica until this video.

And spork I listened to them on the cellos. Just awesome to hear. Any musicians today that can play the cello I give a lot of credit….truly talented.

Metallica...

is a “young people’s music.” They are a great band and can be enjoyed by all, as shown in the cello performance below. A truely great band.

So many older folks criticize music these days just by the instruments that they are played on.

Metallica ain't "young people's music"

I’m 30… the co-op student that works for me has never heard of Metallica. You’ll find them on “Classic Rock” stations now.

They span a lot of generations. Their first album came out when I was 3, their latest when I was 28.

Metallica is my favorite band by far.

Hahaha...young peoples music ??

I saw them at Rupp almost 20 years ago. Took my daughter to her first concert. She was a teenager then. The place was so loud, and I am sure I permanently lost part of my hearing that night. So much fun, though. :-)
They have a great story through the years, of going down the wrong path, as a lot do, a bus crash killing a member, but revived and are still really, really good musicians. In April this year, they were inducted into the Rock-and-Roll Hall of fame.

If you watched the Final Four this year, they are in the the Guitar Hero Metallica (hence the name) commercial with Pitino, Roy, Coach K, and B. Knight.

consider that kind of music to be universal among age groups. I have a lot of friends that love country, but I have always hated that ’there’s a tear in my beer’ stuff.

And I know it was Williams, not Cash, that sang that. When you dislike a genre and rarely hear it, it all kind of runs together.

That video combined the sense of greatness to come for the program gave me a chubby. And not a morning “do I need to pee?” chubby but one that you want to go chop down a mighty oak with.

Kansas is still projected as the odds on favorite, Michigan State and villanova quickly behind but with this talent, this style of play, this depth… well, let’s just say: yes that is a Wildcat in my pants and yes I am excited about this season.
