John Jenkins. Committed to Vanderbilt.
Playing Vandy is not going to be fun when this guy gets his feet under him. He averages over 40 points/game in high school.

SEC getting better...
But, I would only be worried about playing Vandy if Kentucky didn’t look so incredibly talented at nearly every position. Bring back Meeks and Patterson and hopefully add a 5-star PG and the entire SEC will witness the resurgence of Kentucky basketball.
Kentucky Dominated SEC From 1991 Through 2005
9 SEC titles (counting 1991 with best SEC record) and 10 SECT championships in 15 years.
I’ll take 15 more just like those!

Correction
8 SEC titles (not 9) even counting 1991.

John Jenkins a Really Good Kid
This kid plays @ Station Camp HS in Hendersonville/Gallatin, TN. The gym is a driver-3 wood from my house. I’ve seem him a half dozen times or so and he is a talent. Like a lot of kids today he’s a one-man scoring machine, but couldn’t guard his shadow. Local sports radio thinks he’s the second coming for Vandy, but he still needs some fine tuning, especially on his footwork.
Good news is he’s a really good kid. Makes a point to visit Middle Schools and Elementary Schools close by to help out with camps, contribute on anti-drug stuff, etc… Great head on his shoulders, I’ll be rooting for him other than 2 (maybe 3) times a year.
I like his fadeaway
the one foot hop reminds of someone else. he’s got a good release I’ll say that much. thanks duckhook for the background on him. always good to hear about thoughtful young kids. fun to root for the “good guy” :)
I want to die while asleep like my grandfather,
not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.
Looks a bit ...
… like the second coming of Chris Lofton to me. :-)

That was video from his JR year
Below is video from his SR year. I’m not sure if I agree with the above poster that said he couldn’t guard his shadow. I haven’t seen this kid play but I know he more than holds his own and in most cases dominates when he goes up against top competition but like I said I haven’t seen him play.
