UK Did It (Alvin Johnson) When Signing Dennis Johnson (1997) For Football

If he is lehitimately qualified for the position, not prohibited by NCAA rules.

I know it has been done before...

UT did it with Allan Houston’s dad, and I think Mike Bibby dad was on Arizona’s staff too, I just think it isn’t the correct thing to do.

Bibby

His Dad was coach at USC and Mike signed with Arizona saying that “He’s not part of my life”.

UT Hired Wade Houston As HC (Not Assistant)

And (logically) Allen opted out of his Louisville LOI in favor of Tennesssee.

Neither Had Any Regrets About UT

Both were with us in Australia. I attended Sunday services with them over there (Allen is FCA).

Wade was surprised that I saw his brother Charles play at Cincinnati in mid 1960’s.
