Guys...

on the signing day special reported this and immediately said they think he and Meeks will be back for Kentucky and with the players Cal is going to bring they would compete for a national title. He should be back, but who knows.

Calipari Alluded

And Coach all but stated same in his interview which BTW I thought was excellent. While he wasn’t permitted to mention Wall, Henry, Cousins, et al, by name he did clearly make the point of the advantages offered by his system and UK to such talents and was quick to point out the success of Derrick Rose and Tyreke Evans. Quite complimentary of Orton and his fit. Plus he explicitly noted the abasement of the UK brand pointing out that in the 90’s if UK wanted a player it practically eliminated competition, and now it was his purpose to restore the reputation to a similar status.

I just hope they keep a copy of his fax handy.

i do hope he comes back for his sake, it would be a shame for him to have never played in the NCAA tourney. He didnt hire an agent right?

Where would be without PPat?

Even if he goes, we have got to appreciate him. I don’t want to even think of the last two years if he was playing at Florida or Duke.

Agree

PPAT was recruited by Tubby and I’m sure he could of followed him to Minnnesota … I’m so thankful that he remained a cat … just seems to me that he should be remembered at UK in a special way as one who stuck with UK and the BCG regime through thick and thin – I hope he stays and is able to go to a FF and win the NC which is what he really deserves and has earned IMO. Hope him and Jody are both with us next year …

Could Have, Maybe So

Patterson was down to UK leading Florida and Duke in March 2007. Tubby and his ex-UK staff encouraged both Patterson and Jai Lucas to choose UK.

Tubby had a player from his last UK team wanting to transfer there (VERY prominent one) but he told him to stay at UK.

Minnesota had 13 scholarships full in 2007 when Tubby went there. No open scholarships. 2 players later transferred that summer.

That's exactly

what he should do. I would like to see him back as well, but if he goes I wish him great success and a big, fat wallet soon. He’s a class act.

Sure to Make Fans Nervous

but this makes sense. A lot of guys put their name in the draft to strictly get feedback from the NBA guys as to what he needs to work on for next year (or the year after).

I think the injuries over the past two years also entered his mind…don’t know what his financial situation is.

Cal on PTI

wants Jodie and Pat to explore their options but if they come back Cal can elevate their games.

Wants Pat to play like a guard unless the game is on the line he may be on the block with his back to the basket.

I was expecting this

I think it’s a good move on his part. I can accept whatever he decides for his future, but I really want him back for at least one more year as a Wildcat.

Good luck PPat.
