The Masters Day Open Thread
I thought it would be good to create an open thread about Day 2 of the Masters. Yesterday and this morning have generated a number of Masters/golf related comments, and rather than clog up the UK-related posts, let's consolidate that here.
BTW, root for UK alum Steve Flesch and Kentucky native (and proud spokesperson) Kenny Perry.
If you want to post updates, comments, or the like about the 2009 Masters, please do so here.
Note that I edited the title - just make this the whole Masters thread, if you want to comment.

Looks like storms are heading towards Augusta
May have a rain delay…..or more if they are as bad as what hit here in Arkansas. We had a few tornados and a few fatalities.
I heard about that this morning, bluecrip.
I didn’t know you were in Arkansas. You and yours okay?

yeah. it broke up before it came through Little Rock
i slept through it all. got some family near one of the areas with damage but haven’t heard from them yet. i suspect they’re okay. thank you.
On that note-
those that tee off this morning defininitely have the advantage today. Even if there’s no rain delay, I would expect the winds to pick up a ton this afternoon there.

Campbell in with the clubhouse lead after shooting a 2 under 70. He's -9 for the tournament.
UK alum Steve Stricker shot a +2 74 today, and is +1 for the tournament (right on the cut line).
Kenny Perry still doing well at -3 for the day through 14, and -7 (two off the lead) for the tournament.
Todd Hamilton is just behind in third place, shooting 70 today.
Tiger is E on the day, -2 for the tournament and T13.
Phil just started his round, picked up a birdie, and sits at E for the tournament, T32.

Anthony Kim
What a “masterful” round for him at -11 today… a new record!
Isn’t he the one that unnerved Sergio in the Ryder Cup match?
Nice to see Perry on the leaderboard at -9 with Campbell. Go Perry!
That was by far my favorite memory from attending Ryder Cup 2008.
Anthony Kim absolutely dismantled Sergio in the singles match on Sunday, winning 5&4. It was huge, and definitely got things rolling for USA to get the victory.

If Kim does not double...
ten, he ties the course record. An unbelievable round for sure.

Missed this thread yesterday...
got too busy! Good day all around though as the weather did not roll in until dark. We did have a hard downpour last night that may make greens receptive today though technology could take care of that. Looking for a great Saturday at the Masters.

Yikes.
Just noticed that Tiger started his day with a double bodey, putting him 9 shots off the lead. I’m sure that’s not the start he was looking for.

Don't think Tiger is up to par yet
Regarding his game. He will get it back eventually as he is a great competitor.
