Too bad for Jon, but his recovery time is only expected to be 4 weeks.

We wish you the best Jon, and you had a senior season to remember.

NIce quotes about him in that article too. Paraphrasing, but he was called a true team player in a world of “give me the rock” ballers. Jon will contribute a lot to this team, I think, both on the court and as a stabilzier and calming force. I see him being a real leader of the team eventually.

I blame Gillispie's practices...

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

Haha!

Yeah.

Oops. Georgia just hit another free throw …

What do you have left?

I bet Hood feels like he has just been 'whipped'.

Okay, that was really funny. Thanks for the laugh today chirop – I needed it.

I like important stuff just as much as the next guy, but please, for a little while, deliver us from meaning, baseball. That's your greatest glory, and we thank you for it very, very much. -- Craig Calcaterra

KSR

is having another meltdown today, Hood’s dad posted a reply to all the speculation about his sons injury and now they are bashing the players and BCG . had to get away from the craziness.

Sorry.

Typical UK angst. I wouldn’t go within a mile of TCP’s forums right now. I’m afraid I might get infected. :-)

It is crap though

Hood’s dad responded because there was crap flying around that Gillispie had influenced the decision as to whether Hood should sit for the rest of the year or play.

It appears there is no truth to it. Duh.

Silver Lining

Injury caught early, much, much better than full fracture. His team being as talent-challenged as it was wasn’t going all that far — not as though it cost a championship. Even at 6 weeks recovery will be playing AAU and preparing for UK. Both he and Orton will be completely rehabbed and ready for BBM.

Yep.

Still, you hate to see a kid miss the last part of his senior season. He’ll be fine, but I hate to see that. You only get that go-round one time.

Injury caught early

That is a blessing in disguise. I too hate for this to happen in his senior year, but as his coach says he will be working on strengthening earlier in rehab.

Good luck Jon. Can’t wait to see you in the Blue and White next season.

Only Impact

Maybe Hood shouldn’t (and won’t) play in Derby Festival all-star game in April.
