Izzo is an NCAA Tournament Monster

5 NCAA Final Fours in the last 11 years. He's in the final four almost half the time lately! That's insane. He's better at final four appearances in that period than anyone (Carolina has 5 in the last 12 years). And one of those was a championship.
I don't think he's interested in the UK job, but he would be a great coach for us. He is not the crazy recruiter that Calipari, Donovan, or Roy Williams is, but I think he does a phenomenal job with the talent he has in the NCAA Tournament. If you like winning NCAA Tournament games and going to the Final Four, Izzo is the man. And did I mention he ruined the #1 of #1's Louisville Cardinal's NCAA run and Final Four Bid?
That said, he's not the only man! Both Calipari and Pitino are a great choices for our next coach as well.

I love me some Tom Izzo. When Tubby left, I tried to pretend any coach, anywhere was available, and I asked myself who I’d want. I concluded that I’d want Izzo, but thought there was no chance he’d leave. If this seemingly done deal with Calipari falls through, I hope they wait for Izzo’s team to finish their season (once again, they’re one of the last four teams playing, you know) and give him a call.

Won both in 2000 but L in 1999, 2001, and 2005.
