So much for a good season next year

I get the feeling Daniel Orton isn't coming now, Jon Hood probably will, Maybe GJ.  Its really too bad that impatience is so high in this state.  There are numerous NBA GM's and Owners who vouch for BG's basketball intelligence.  And we finally brought in an excellent recruiting class, but now we are running the man out of town who brought them here.   When was the last time we saw a good recruiting class?  96?  97?   But all the impatient people in the UK fan base just got what they asked for.

Don't expect the next coach to win right away.  This program has officially been torn to shreds by hasty decision making.  Look around at all major sports and tell me one team that is in the championship hunt that trades players like it is going out of style and runs coaches in and out of town every two years.   Name one.  Please.  I beg you.

The impatient, ignorant UK fans just got what they asked for.  Its too bad we all have to suffer for it.

I to am very much worried over Daniel Orton coming to Lexington to play in blue now, sad day especially coming to test our optimism for next season. At least puke lost last night and we can hope for more of the same with traitor rick tonight I suppose

Of course it is all speculation...no one knows either way

If UK brings in a big name coach, it would calm down the recruits (if they need calming) and doomsday sayers. It sounds like Meeks was not happy with coach so it is much more likely he would return and Patterson is more of a business decision and not a coaching decision regarding his return.

Don't forget...

That Patterson had Florida on his list when he choose UK

One question?

what if Donovan does come in and then we go to the elite 8 or final 4,the next year we lose PP,J meeks,Porter, etc. due to the nba or graduation. We end up in the NIT because we have a young team AGAIN….who will be our next coach? At this rate it looks like it might just happen, oh yeah ,Donovan may just leave with PP and Meeks so he can coach them at the next level.

Not gonna happen...

Assuming Donovan comes…he’ll be here a few years before heading off to the NBA. I’m pretty sure of that. By then, Ford will be ready to move into the big boy seat. I think Billy D is a slight upgrade from Billy G. However I think Pitino (highly unlikely) or Calipari would have been the better choice. However, I’m not sure JC is interested in being what it takes to be UK’s coach. At least Billy D knows what he’s getting himself into if he’s coming.

Donovan already tried the NBA

Remember he was hired by the magic and he was back at Florida before the season started. I don’t think we have to worry about him going to the NBA.

But this is all assuming he comes. If he does, I hope we keep him around for the rest of his career. We need stability at this program desperately.

BCG

Phil, you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Wake up and smell the coffee. The handwriting has been on the wall for a while now. You obviously don’t live in central Kentucky so you don’t know what’s been going on. Try to open your eyes and find out some facts.
