Gary, I can't get into my work email and I don't have everyone's email address. Can you please make sure this gets out to many? Many thanks, Laura
Dad is in desperate need of your prayers.Dad is critically ill and miserable. He is malnourished, hasn't kept anything down for several days and his kidneys are not working as well as we hoped. He is too weak and sick to withstand any surgery now. His bowels are slightly obstructed and he now has a tube down his nose to vacuum all the junk and discomfort out of his stomach. He will start to get food/nutrition through an IV today.
The biggest thing right now is for us to keep him comfortable, get the obstructive to move out of his body and build his strength up through nutrition and minimal exercises. He is a fighter and a strong man but he is very tired.
Please pray for his courage, his will to fight, patience, his spiritual, mental, emotional and physical state.
I don't know what else to say besides please please please pray and lift Daddy up to the Lord for healing.
I appreciate you all. Love & Blessings, Laura
God has a plan, God is good.......May God's will be done. It is His will not ours. May we grow and learn to understand God's plan.

Will do also
I have prayed for Mike since I first heard of his ailments.
May God be with you Mike and your family at this critical time.
Thank you.
This goes on the front page.
Our prayers are with you, Mike. From a fellow Shelbyvillian of old, may God bless you and give you peace. May He hold you and your family in the palm of His hand, and may His love be your strength, and His forgiveness your armor as you fight the great fight.

My first memories of UK basketball
Were of Pratt-Casey-Issel-Steele…it was what bonded me to my father…UK games…my father passed 3/29/08…so it saddens me but only for a moment…I know that God lifts us when we cannot feel to walk…my prayers go out to the family and to Mr. Casey
All my thoughts and Prayer's
are with you Mike. We are holding you up for a miracle. The Lords will be done.
The Caseys will
be remembered in prayer daily. May Mike and his family find strength in knowing that others are remembering them daily in prayer.

I can't know how you feel, but I do kow how God helps in times like these.
Mike is in my prayers and I thank God for Him permitting me to “meet” Mike through radio and televison. What a man of courage. May God bless Mike and the whole family with his loving presence. Amen.
Many prayers and blessings to the Casey
family. I will ask Jobu to give him the strength to fight and get rid of the obstructives!
Much love

Dear Mike
I have watched you shoot hoops behind your house, hit the ball all the way to the whiffle ball field in the right hand corner batting left handed, win a state championship, clear the tree tops in Bluegrass Field, lead Ky as the best clutch scorer I’ve still ever seen play at UK, hadn’t seen you till 6 months ago for the last 25 years, and you still knew who I was and that I lived in the Nashville area. Even made sure I wasn’t cheering for no vols since I have lived down here so long. Mike, if there is ever a guy that’s going to whip this it’s you. Keep believing in yourself! I have been holding a basketball I got when uk won is 96. It is the only nice piece of memorabilia I have of UK merchandise. It will never leave my family and one day when you get better I want you to sign it because I have no interest of anyone else to ever sign things since I am not a collector of these things. Yes I know its a 96 ball and not your years but I played more games by myself in my driveway with my hero imagination of pretending to be the best player and one of the real nice guys as i hit shot after shot announcing your name to my make believe fans. you have no idea how much you have meant to me personally as the basketball and my gravel driveway got me through some tough days. I never had the heigth to play but I had the competitive heart and I learned that from you and I use that competitve nature to be quite successful in my career. You have always been my hero as dad, Keith and I use to listen to Cawood call you on the radio. My sons and now my oldest grandson have heard many mike Casey stories. So, know you have my prayers and Laura I don’t think I ever met you but I can tell Mike is so fortunate to have you in his life as his daughter. God bless each of you. Get well soon. Bryan Coulter
P.S. I heard Mike was in Nashville with the illness hoping for a transplant. If you’re still here and need something or Mike would like a brief encouraging visit just let me know how i can help and i’ll do my best.Murfreesboro(20 miles away) 615-804-2838
