Well, with Memphis, LSU and TAMU out to the early leads, my brackets are holding up nicely. So far.

I have them beating North Carolina in my bracket. I guess I just figured “What’s it really matter anyway?” GO SEC!! (except Tennessee)

I can’t remember all the recent 8 seeds to compare them but LSU lost 3 of their last 5 games. 2 wins are against lowly UK. :-)

the so called experts could not see right through Memphis this year. #1 Defense? please. I never bought Memphis after I saw them score only 54 against UT. If they survive here, it wont be long.

My only advice
Dont listen to the media/experts
Athleticism will win more games than not…A&M over BYU, LSU over Butler
All those experts picked UL/UNC in title, therefore it is virtually guaranteed not to happen. This thing may be a UConn/Pitt war part 3.

If Tennesse wins or Miss St can come back against Washington...
Then the SEC will exceed their expected win total for the tourney.
If LSU wants to go ahead and upset UNC, that would be okay too. That would also have the benefit of preserving UK’s current 1-win edge in all time tournament victories (currently 98-97 over UNC).

He could have broken Griffin’s neck there. It was a very near thing.
Sorry, but that young man should be banned from competition for at least a month for that. If he’s a senior, there’s nothing they can do, but if he’s coming back, he should sit next season for at least four games.
That’s just not acceptable. Throwing a punch would have been less life-threatening.
