The next great Newton
A really good article about Morgan Newton, the 2009 UK highly-ranked quarterback. Recommended reading. Here is a taste:
"During the 2008 season, Newton again brought his "A" game, leading Carmel to a 13-2 record and a runner-up appearance in the state championship game. Against six of Indiana's top programs -- Cathedral, Warren Central, Ben Davis, Fort Wayne Snider, Penn and Center Grove (two games) -- Newton averaged 280 yards and 2.9 touchdowns (running and passing). On the season, Newton threw for 1,938 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushed for 1,664 yards and 26 touchdowns."

I really hope Newton can step up and make an impact as a freshman, at the least taking 50%
of the snaps.
Use Hartline for game management, running clock, slow drives, etc. Use Newton to win.
Hartline = Porter?
Newton = ??? (hopefully not Liggins, at least the freshman version of Liggins)

What I've heard and seen...
…which has mostly come from articles linked here and Scouts stuff I dig up when I have time, Newton kind of reminds me of Dennis Dixon who played at Oregon 2 years ago and now is Steelers’ 3rd QB. He also looks like he can fit into a pro style offense.

This is endlessly exciting.
UK football has a very bright future, in part because of the certainty of the coaching staff and, consequently, the continuity in recruiting.
Looks like this guy could play any skill position at an elite level.
New Newton Laws
I can see Morgan confirming some of Isaac’s (no relation) laws of motion: backs in motion tend to remain in motion, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction (Read: W and L),
Newton is also a young gentleman.
I have family members who attend Carmel High School with Newton. They tell me he is a very nice young gentleman who has been raised well. UK is getting a quality person.
I just love the fact that he wore a UK jersey when he was named Indiana's Mr. Football!
Ha!
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
Newton
I have loved this guy since before he officially committed. He’s going to be a good one.
He is definitely a young gentleman coming from a very good family background. That is what I want to see in our recruits in all sports at UK.
