Why Billy Gillispie will be UK's coach next year.
This is a tough argument to refute. Six million dollars is just too much. Is a mutual agreement for less possible? Sure. It just doesn't seem likely

Agree The Points Have Merit
But we’ll see. I don’t think anyone knows (for sure) yet.

I've made the same argument before....
Money and no real replacement make getting rid of Gillispie not possible
so have i
I have made the argument as you have (however pointless) that they aren’t going to pay him all that money AND have to hire a coach….and who WOULD they get to coach at that?
People who say he should be fired after two winning seasons and no known NCAA violations is just not being logical….
He just dismissed the most likely scenario.
So what if both parties agree to part ways. That is the only way I see BCG leaving UK. And to be honest, I can’t possibly imagine that being the case.
He doesn’t even argue this. I still think this is the most likely scenario. If it happens, there will be some sort of agreement less than the $6M.
'..when they bring a knife, you bring a gun...that's the Chicago way..'
Why Would Kentucky Sign Such A Contract?
It may be a good argument why UK could not fire BCG but a good one to get rid of whomever agreed to pay someone so much money without perfomance requirements. Pressure being UK’s coach? I’ll take the pressure of making $6 Million no matter how bad I do at my job. Wow! And this from someone who has always supported coach.
BG will not be gone
because of the above stated reasons, and the impact of next years recruits.Patterson and Meeks return, this will be a Top 10 team by the end of the season.
