A UK-Less NCAA Bracket?
Ok, so I have been debating about whether or not to create a NCAA bracket group for ASoB like the one we did last year because well, quite honestly, it's kind of hard for me to get totally excited about filling out a bracket when our team isn't in the mix and it's definitely disappointing that this year's field of 65 doesn't include UK. But, then I thought about it some more and contrary to what some are probably thinking right now, I think UK's exclusion this year is hardly the end of the world and life does go on. So, in keeping with that "life goes on even though UK isn't in the field of 65 this year" thought and since I also just happen to love college basketball in general, I went ahead and created a bracket for ASoB on Yahoo because I still want to participate in the fun.
So, if you too love college basketball and would like to join in the Madness with ASoB -- feel free to fill out the ASoB bracket on Yahoo and try your hand against your fellow ASoB members. Those of you who participated last year know exactly what to do, but for those of you who didn't get in on the fun last year, the info is here. You will want to pick the "join a group" button once you click on that link. If you don't currently have a Yahoo account, you will need to create one. From there you will need to enter the Group ID # 72464 and Group Password asob2009 (no space) and once you have created your bracket name you can then enter your picks.
There will be no money involved, of course, and other than bragging rights for the winner (s) there are no prizes to speak of. But, if you feel like giving the bracket challenge a shot by competing against your fellow ASoB members, and you happen to have a bit of a competitive nature like I do (imagine that, a UK fan with a competitive nature, crazy, right?) -- go for it! Good Luck!

The words "I'm pulling for Louisville" are not allowed on this site. Please refrain!!

Look at the bright side...
We will all do better this year in the brackets. We can fill one out with our head now and not our heart. I don’t have to UK in the championship and that makes things a lot easier.
I need a Sea of Blue because I am surrounded by Tennessee orange!
It's a shame
there is no NIT bracket game, I would be in that as well :)
can't make picks
Anyone know how to work the Yahoo brackets? Won’t let me make picks
I have the same problem as CJ
Do we have to wait until after Tuesday? I mean obviously I’m going to win but I want to make sure I get them in :)
I'm having the same problem not being able to see the bracket right now on Yahoo
I’m sure the site is just flooded. Try back later.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
Ahh good
I was wondering if anyone was going to set this up again this year. I need to improve on my 11th place finish last year.
I like important stuff just as much as the next guy, but please, for a little while, deliver us from meaning, baseball. That's your greatest glory, and we thank you for it very, very much. -- Craig Calcaterra
Picks are now available
Or at least they are for me.

5yearoldcatfan is now in the bracket!
I sat down with my girlfriend’s five year old daughter the other day and went through the entire bracket. She is now entered into our pool.
Woe unto us all if she wins.

Well, why not!
Best of luck to her. I suppose I should modify my recommendation for bourbon as prizes, though. Should your girlfriend’s daughter win, bourbon is certainly not an appropriate prize for a 5 year old, is it? I guess that t-shirt idea is probably the better suggestion when you take into account that there might be minors participating in the ASoB bracket challenge. : )
