why??
Why did "Forty" blast me about my last post about all the "Lets fire Billy" comments. the response was...
"There are rarely, if ever, any We Need To Fire Billy threads here.Rather, this is the only UK website where fans of all kinds engage in rational, intelligent discussion about UK sports."
Am i the only one that read the posts tonight calling for his head??? Im not trying to make anyone mad. I just dont understand.

Billy the Kids head
I am in complete agreement about getting Billy out of the bluegrass. There is NO WAY that the way our teams are playing should be happening. How is getting worse better than Tubbys 20+ win seasons? I don’t recall many times of getting destroyed by other teams as often as we do now. It is more than clear he is in way over his head and we need something better than what we currently have.
Fire Billy Threads Are Rare Here On ASOB
Gillispie was badly outcoached, and UK was badly outplayed, last night.
No reason to fire anyone for that.

Sprouted
Firebilly threads seem to have sprouted like weeds after this loss here at ASOB. Someone needs to come along with some weed killer.
Billy G isnt going anywhere so give it up.
DEEETROIT BASKETBALLL!!!
I agree whole heartedly.
Billy isnt going anywhere and WE as a fan base shouldnt want him going anywhere.
I Want Better Results
Any fan who is satisfied with UK in his first 2 years has overlooked something.

Not satisfied.
Im a UK fan Im never satisfied. LOL But I am one of the few that never turns their back on the team or the coach. I swear you will never hear me criticize the players or the coach.(Except for lack of effort)
Then You Would Be Highly Critical Of Both In Their Last Game
Neither players nor coaches gave any effort AT ALL in the South Carolina L. It is the only time I’ve ever seen a UK team “quit” at the opening tipoff.

Being critical is not a bad thing
I welcome critiques of my office and how I can do better. The same should be said about fans. We have the right to critique. Many fans cross over that line into bashing sometimes, but I think critical analysis is important.
That doesn’t mean that I won’t also turn right around and cheer for them to do better next time.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
That doesn’t mean that I won’t also turn right around and cheer for them to do better next time
That – in my opinion – is what makes the difference.

Remediation
Can we send him to some coaching clinics this summer?
I agree Forty.
The main reason I love this site is that its populated with rational, intelligent UK fans. Unfortunately, it is being infested with “those other UK fans”.
jager15, I’m not sure you understand what the repercussions of running another coach out of Lexington would be. Our fans already have an unfavorable reputation. Imagine if we did it again……in less than 2 season! Read that again please. Doesn’t that just sound ridiculous? Less than 2 seasons. Jeez, I mean I’m frustrated too, but for crying out loud. Keep your heads, all you crazy ’Cat fans. You hurt us more than you help.
I love Billy!!!
I dont want him gone! Thats not what my other post was about. It was about giving him more time. I would hate to see him go.
I Don't Like His Results
But he deserves more time to live up to the hype.
