Merry Christmas, Big Blue Nation
It's Christmas Eve and if you are reading this blog, thank you. But after you read this short piece, give the computer a rest. Go visit with your family, or talk to your wife and kids, or call your friends.
I'm writing this because I have a few minutes before we leave to celebrate our Christmas. This is a wonderful time, and I wanted to take just a few minutes to wish you all the merriest of Christmases and the happiest and most prosperous of New Years. Yes, I will be blogging over the holidays. But not today.
I want to thank everyone for reading, and creating this wonderful community. It has been a good year for Kentucky fans, and 2010 looks even better from where I'm sitting. For Christmas, Santa has brought all of us a great sports program, for which we can all be thankful.
But of course, there is so much more, too much to detail here. Don't forget to count your blessings. I count the members of this community among my blessings.
Merry Christmas. May yours be blessed.
Treat as an open thread.

Xmas Eve Memory
http://www.bigbluehistory.net/bb/Statistics/Games/19831224Illinois.html Horrible weather that night in Champaign IL. So bad that refs couldn’t get there. 3 guys in bluejeans were culled out of the stands to ref the game.
But Cats W anyway.

Good one Forty ...
Here’s a story from Larry Munson – Georgias now retired sportscaster and one of the greatest radio personalities ever …. Merry Christmas …
Thanks for the story Forty-
Some of my best friends at work are from Illinois, and huge Illini fans. I’ll have to relay this story, when I go back to work…

Felices Fiestas de Panamá
4th Christmas in Panama and I’ve about completed the acculturation but there’s still something a bit strange about lights on palm trees and Santa arriving on an ATV but it’s the folks together that counts. Thanks to ASoB I feel surrounded and supported by Big Blue folks year around. Enjoy the season!

If your wings don't sweep....
Blessed Christmas to all and
may you each get your “official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model BB rifle with a compass in the stock”.
Oh Man!!
I loved my Red Ryder!! :-) With the proper elevation, it would shoot half way across the KY river down around Boonesborough way. Mine didn’t have the compass, though… :-((
Sure would like to have a quarter for every BB I shot out of that thing!! LOL

Bought my son a Red Ryder-
A couple of years ago for Christmas. Living out in the country he already had a 22 cal. rifle, and a 410 shotgun. He has used his Red Ryder more than either one!

Merry Christmas one and all
3 > 2, except for very large values of 2.
I am up waiting to play Santa to our 14 year old daughter.
It is the first year she hasn’t put cookies out for Santa. The rule is you better act like you believe in him or he will quit coming. She is the joy in her mothers and my heart. We know the reason for the season but children sure makes it even nicer. It is also the final minutes of my 17th anniversary to my wonderful Kentucky woman. I am wishing all of my fellow ASOB family a great holiday season and may you be blessed with many more.
Merry Christmas

Another rule to follow
Don’t ever try to eat your weight in turkey. It’s a moving target. Merry Christmas to the Big Blue Nation. Since it’s Christmas, I’ll even say Merry Christmas to the Card nation.
Merry Christmas!
To the editors, Tru and Ken, and to ALL at ASOB!
And a Happy New Year …. started off in style on the 2nd!
