Kentucky's longest winning streak?
Hi everyone!
I've been reading ASOB for a few years now, but never posted.
Talking with a friend of mine (from Mississippi State) about the Cats' 10-0 record, the following question was brought up: What was the longest winning streak in Kentucky basketball history? I know around '52 or '53 they were 25-0, but have they had a better record than that?
Also, they won the first 7 games following the undefeated season of 25-0, making it a 32-0 winning streak. Is this the longest?

Oh Forty????....calling all expert statisticians........
I am thinking that 25-0 is right, but I honestly never looked it up…..where is Forty when we need him?

I am going to say 32.
25 in 53-54 season and we won our first 7 games the next year.
We did win 26 in row in 2003.
It is 32
according to the official Fact Book
32 games from Dec 5, 1953 – Jan 8, 1955
Kentucky won 129 straight home games from 1943-55
Still the record, I believe
No matter where you're at, there you are
Okay, so the record is as follows:
1 undefeated season (25-0)
Longest winning streak in a season: 26 (2003)
Longest winning streak multiple seasons: 32 (1953-54)
Longest home winning streak: 129 (1943-55)
Does everyone agree?
The longest winning streak in a season
was the 1995-1996: 27 games
Good catch...
So, 27 games in a given season.
Thanks!
