UK Logo?
Why don't we see more face time from the old UK logo with the actual wildcat reaching out from behind the traditional UK emblem. I guess there was an incident with the tongue being slightly less than bashful in the older edition, but the revised version could strike fear into dirty cards, or gators or volunteers or whoever else. I'm not saying we should put it in the middle of our floor, but is there any reason why the school doesn't use it at all anymore?

I think it was decided that the interlocking letters sans-Wildcat was more sleek/professional/polished/etc. I kind of agree. The cartoon seems a bit childish in a way (then again, sometimes I like it, too), but I think the UK without the cat shows a bit more “swagger” and is more appealing to the target audience. Again, that’s just my opinion and others are free to disagree.

unified and consistant branding effort
as simple as that. Many reasons and the “checkered” past was one to impress exactly what Secretariat has said.
However, if you allow it to be made pink, red, plaid, black, green, light blue, brown (all I have actually seen with the official seal associated) then why not loosen the reins on a retro reissue.
I had a 1978 shirt my mom picked up the next day with it and would LOVE to have another (a bit larger this time)
