Stanford Cardinal at Kentucky Wildcats, Nov 25, 2009 9:30 PM EST
This is the official A Sea of Blue Open Game Thread for the Stanford Cardinal @ Kentucky Wildcats in the championship game of the Cancun Challenge. Game particulars are as follows:
Date & Time Wednesday, Nov. 25 9:30 p.m
Coverage TV: CBS College Sports (coverage details) Radio: BBSN
Online Audio 
Location Moon Palace Resort Cancun, Mexico
This will be the best opponent Kentucky has faced so far, and their strength has been UK's weakness. The Cardinal will be a disciplined, intelligent team with good size.

Here's what UK needs to do to win this game:
- Play simple basketball. Drive to the lane, draw the rotation and kick to the post or to the wing.
- Don't give up a bunch of turnovers. Giving the Cardinal 20+ extra shots is a good way to make this game competitive.
- Rebound the basketball. Kentucky has been very good about that all year, which is encouraging, but they need to keep it up.
- Defend the three. Switch if necessary, but UK must defend the three.
- Try very hard to push the tempo. Stanford would like to control it, but UK needs to force them to run if they can.
This would be a nice feather in Kentucky's cap if they can win this thing. Go 'Cats.

I had to go home for thanksgiving break so I left lex where we have it to my parents home in louisville. Know a place where this is streaming online? ( we have freaking dish network)

display I have ever seen…….they are just terrible….on BOTH sides of the ball…..it is not just us……

Wall is trying to do too much.
He’s hogging the ball, and needs to get his teammates involved.
The whole team is unable to handle Stanford’s screening. It doesn’t help that Stanford is making every shot. If they keep doing that, it’s going to be tough for UK to handle them.
We need much more discipline on offense. We had it early in the game, and then forgot all about it.

We lost our strong inside presence when PP
went out. We need him and Big Cuz to take this game over. We are not going to win this game by perimeter shooting only. We need to own the boards in the second half.

One good thing about UK.
They can score a lot of points very quickly. If UK can get this game up into the high 70’s, I think we’ll find a way to win.

looked pretty good to me at times tonight.
But sometimes going too deep into the shot clock on our possession just gives us more time to turn the ball over.
