This is the official A Sea of Blue Open Game Thread for the Rider Broncs at the Kentucky Wildcats.

This is a team that is shooting the ball ridiculously well from three with the exception of the last game versus the Virginia Cavaliers. Virginia handled them easily, and you would think Kentucky could, too. But this is just the type of team that has given UK fits this season.

What I hope to see:
- Better communication on offense and defense;
- Better perimeter defense;
- More control;
- Continued strong rebounding;
- More physical and mental toughness;
- Fewer turnovers.
I'll be at Churchill Downs all day today, but I will be home for the football game. Ken will be doing the post game for the Rider contest, and the pre-game for the Georgia game.

But I think SHS started in man. It does seem like UK has mostly seen zone, and almost always 2-3 or a matchup 2-3

PP, 13 boards, Wall 7 assist.
Pretty good for a half. Only 8 turnovers, not bad because they had 6 in the first ten minutes.
So, so glad to have something to be excited about
with our basketball team. Last year (the era of which we will not speak) I approached every game with fear… But, the Cats are back!
I haven't seen a minute...
… But judging by the score, it looks like Rider is not going off from three.

I thought we were supposed to be able to get all SEC
games on ESPN (tv) this year. This is the 3rd game in a row I’ve had to watch online.
I have been unable to figure it out.....maybe not SEC vs SEC?

way I understood the deal with ESPN is that they would cover a good majority of our games, but certainly not all. And I think that lawdag made a good point about them possibly showing more of our b-ball games once football season ends.
Btw, the Rider game isn’t on ESPN Full Court. I’m currently watching on FSN South. : )
I'm in northern Alabama and can't find it here, but find football on every channel.

Anybody else having problems with the ESPB360 feed?
For me the left side of the screen is flashing in and out….mostly out. So, I cannot see the Rider basket.

3 pt defense and offense are both good news....
…but for my money the key stat is 9 and 1 for Wall and 13 – 9 overall.
With the way our bigs ruin the floor...
..a guard miss on the break is practically an assist to Cuz, PPat, and Orton!

PPat in pts/rebounds and Wall in pts/assists.
Orton could get it also.

No, I disagree
Cuz was standing. The opposing player was on the ground. The referee was grasping both of Cuz’s arms. Cuz jerked his arm out and swatted in the direction of the official while looking toward the official.
I’d bench him for an entire game.

Okay, I looked at it again. What I said above is all true about what happened. However, also, the official was speaking to Cuz when he did it. And, the opposing player had his hand on Cuz forearm/wrist area when Cuz jerked his hand out of the referee’s grasp.
So, the best possible spin on it is this:
Cuz was patiently and respectfully looking at the official and listening to him (while the official grasped his arms and spoke directly to him) and then Cuz jerked his arm and reacted to the Rider player touching him, without looking away from the official.
Possibly true.
He needs to keep a little of that fire burning......dont want him too calm
he plays better when hes mad…..

Wall is the only freshman ready now. I think Cousins could be ready by the end of the year. But even if he isn’t ready, he has an NBA body and plenty enough potential to be a high draft pick.
