Milestones
There are 3 things I want to see the Cats do -- get to 2000 wins before UNC, win the SEC and then the NCAA.
I've seen no recent discussion about the 2000 wins record, but I just had the pleasure of watching UNC get thumped by Syracuse.
As I understand it, we need to get 12 wins before UNC gets 16. Is that correct? Someone -- who better than Forty ? -- please let me know. And then let's roll.

Hey, longtime!
Well, I’m not Forty, but I’m up, and I think I might know the answer. : )
My math skills are pretty elementary (always hated math), but I’m fairly certain that as of this moment we sit at 1991 wins (we are 3-0 on the season so far) and UNC is at 1988 wins (with their loss to Syracuse tonight they are at 4-1 on the season so far). I’m not exactly sure how it is that they have played 2 more games than we have already, but whatever.
So, anyway, if the above math is correct, we need 9 more W’s to reach 2000 while UNC needs 12.
And yes, LET’S ROLL!!! : )

are you sure?
according to the schedule on ESPN.com, we need just 8 more wins, and our 8th game would be Long Beach State on the 23rd. now you could be assuming a loss to UNC, UCONN, or U of L before then, but LBSU is the earliest opportunity to hit 2000 wins.
GO BIG BLUE!! GO BIG BLUE!!

crap
as soon as i hit post, i knew what i forgot to add. we play the stanford/virginia winner on wednesday, and that’s on the schedule yet, so our 8th game (and earliest opportunity) for the 2000th win is actually Drexel on the 21st.
GO BIG BLUE!! GO BIG BLUE!!
