For Those That Complain

For those that complain to Ken and Tru about the lack of football info on here, I have a suggestion for you.  START YOUR OWN BLOG.  I think it is safe to say that this blog was originally going to be about basketball and maybe, just maybe some football.  Since we started winning some at football, they have added more about the pigskin.  Maybe JL or Tru can let us know what the original intentions were.  I enjoy both UK BB and FB, but I do not think I have a right to complain what somebody puts on their free site.  It is Tru's blog, and it is all Tru's blog.  You don't see Tru or Ken writing articles about the baseball team, the golf team, or any other teams, do you?  So instead of complaining about the coverage or lack there of, or to much basketball coverage, there is a very simple solution, now isn't there?  It is not easy doing a daily blog at all.  We are fortunate to have Tru and Ken writing as much as they do.  It gets real old hearing the same old BS from a couple of you.

WOW...think that was aimed

directly at me……I’m flattered!!;) Frankly, if I really cared what you thought about anything, this might bother me but I don’t and it doesn’t.

I wasn’t “complaining” about Ken’s article….I was trying to make the point which your post does VERY well that if we fans put the same emphasis on the football program as we do on basketball…..then in MHO, the football program would be miles ahead of where it is today.

Not going to debate that with you because we don’t agree and opinions are like A-holes, everyone has one.

I’ve read Tru’s blog rules and don’t see anything that indicates this is just a basketball blog with football being a filler until the season starts. If that’s the case, then I apologize.

If you read back through the comments, I made sure to let Ken know my comment wasn’t intended to criticize or complain…it was just making the observation that most of us tend to forget football when the basketball season starts and again, in MHO, that’s a big reason the football program isn’t more successful……LOW expections.

One other point.....

If you look at the main page to the left under A Sea Of Blue…..you’ll see sections of the blog for basketball, football…….and baseball. Apparently UK does have other sports besides basketball and apparently Tru and company realize that even if others don’t.

Yes, I saw what you wrote

to him after you read this last night. Very clever not to comment until now. I never forget about football just like you. I just go to different sites if my football appetite is not being fed here. I also understand your frustrations. I just wanted to remind people that it is up to the site owner what to write about and when.

Well not clever....just when I had the time.

I actually didn’t read this last night….went to a play with my wife and younger son at Actors Theater in Louisville….A Christmas Story, if you get the chance and like the movie, you’ll enjoy the play. Got home about 10:30 or so if I remember and went back to Ken’s article because I was concerned that he would misunderstand my comment. If you notice the time, I replied between 10:30 & 11:00 Louisville time. I was too tired to look at other posts last night.

Unfortunately, I’m working today and had my laptop going early and saw your post and then commented. Don’t know why I’m explaining all this but if I’m reading between the lines there of your comment, you apparently thought I read your post and then went back to Ken’s article to make amends and I didn’t do that……not quite that big a jerk.

Enjoy the great sports day.

UK BB and UK FB, it doesn’t get better than that. I noticed the football line went from 7 to 9 earlier in the week even before Brooks said Cobb was questionable. Now 9 1/2 in my paper. Not sure what that means.

Absolutely!!!

Be listening off & on unfortunately to the b-ball game at work but hopefully will be in my recliner for the f-ball game this evening.

I support UK football

But honestly, I don’t really care much about the football program. I’m more interested in pro football. Everybody knows that UK is all about basketball anyway. GO CATS!

Guys, we CAN do it all on here, and everyone that contributes tries to make a

conscious effort to include the football info. Tru, Ken, and everyone else ARE committed to providing all of the UK sports info they can. My daughter wants us to comment on soccer, so I told her to keep tabs on it and get me the info and I will post it. But there is so much stuff out there right now, especially with both sports going at the same time, that it is hard to keep it all online where everyone wants it. If someone wants more football, then I suggest you write up some fanposts and put them in. Tru has promoted every well done fan post that warrants front page exposure on the front page.

This is not a one-sided site. Tru has been more than fair with all posters and tries to get everything they want on here available. Griping at the authors doesnt accomplish much here except to get you a lot of flack.

More posts and more posters means that one guy doesnt have to try and do it all. Well written stuff gets out there, trust me, I have done it myself. I was flat-out amazed at it, but he put it out there for everyone to see front and center.

Remember, we're having fun now!!!

I'd even say Tru and Ken have never significantly sacrificed

football coverage because of basketball coverage. Also, Post Mortems, etc. concerning football are every bit as well written as those for basketball. Overall, we definitely get our money’s worth. ;-))

To reiterate ABC – “write up some fanposts and put them in”

Great Info

Good to see the basketball junkies, who allow us to have a few posts on here aboiut football, jumping on the band wagon after a win.
I really didn’t know Tru and Ken were providing this mainly for basketball. Good to know.
Thanks. Grassland for the information.

I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.
