Small Rotation...

Is it just me or is Coach Cal using a very limited rotation this year...I really don't see how Liggins isn't getting more minutes. We are gonna have to get some of these bench guys more minutes before we get to the conference schedule...I'm really hoping some of you will comment on this, or offer your opinions on the topic...And Wall is dribbling too much. 6 turnovers a game against an opponent like Sam Houston is just not gonna cut it...a tough SEC defense would force 10 out of the kid...We're a long way from being a top five team...I don't think i'd put us in the top 25 right now.

Not just you

but not really clear on why he’s doing it. Are Dodson, Harrleson, and Liggins all in the doghouse…..having academic problems…..not hustling in practice……just don’t have the ability to play…….who knows.

I agree completely he needs to get them involved though if that’s possible. We were gassed at the end of last nights game and this team shouldn’t be gassed against anyone.

Wall and Bledsoe……I’m not worried about their turnovers yet because they’re freshman and they seem to be trying to hard to get on Sportscenter. If that continues……obviously it will become a HUGE concern as we play better teams.

Bottom line……Patterson’s a junior and he’s playing for the most part with 4 freshman…..we’re very young and we should only get better with experience and coaching.

Cal will stick with the guys that improve the most from game to game

in practice. Dodson is not playing due to his own doing in practice. Harrellson I suspect is only going to see this type of limited role unless someone has foul trouble. Bledsoe and Wall will be fine with a little tweaking on their driving skills and ball handling. Remember they are great freshmen, but only freshmen. And someone on a post said it best, we were gassed, but they couldnt even remain standing upright….we will condition better as te season progresses too. All of this speed is going to rear its head later in the season when we play teams that are not used to this pace. There are a lot of teams out there that play only half court games…..we will eat them alive. I guarantee you they were thankful to leave the state last night. They played above their heads, and they get congrats for it. But in the end….we won…..and showed flashes of brilliance in doing it.

All I know...

…is that I trust Cal. He knows what he’s doing. I’m also cautious about ranking this team among the nation’s elite right now, but my reservations are beginning to disappear when I see a win like today’s. I think this is definitely a top 20 team that will sneak into the top 10, and hopefully higher depending on how it fares against UConn and UNC.
