Gillespie changes plea
In a story out this morning, ex-coach Gillespie changed his plea from "not guilty" to "guilty" to driving while under the influence. He received a fine of (according the the article) $1,000.00 and a revocation of his driving privileges in Kentucky for thirty days. I guess there was no extra consideration given for settling his civil case. For the complete article go to www.sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4615954

BCG didn't have much of a choice....
if he wanted this chapter to end. He messed up by driving under the influence, which should never be done. That is never smart.
wklawdog, I couldn’t get the link to work for some reason. Here is another link to WKYT, if anyone else has a problem. :-)

Tell me
What’s the civil suit got to do with it?
I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.

Absolutely nothing,
but some posters opined after the civil settlement was reached that Gillispie’s DUI charge would go away or he would at least plead to some lesser charge, i.e., a conspiracy that the DUI charge was a method of getting him to settle or something.

Jail time is not mandatory on a first offense.
It is for every offense with a number greater than 1 though.

I'm sure Trump knows what he's doing - and Blago's working his magic
I still like “The Donald” …. 1. He’s always surrounded by beautiful women …. and 2. He never misses a chance to show you his “New Yorker” side like when he blasted Rosie …. LOL

I hope the guilty plea is part of an acceptance of his drinking problem
In the end, he didn’t try to plea down, that I know of. It’s a good sign he’s standing up and acknowledging, “Hi, I’m Bill, and I am an alcoholic”. For those of you lucky enough not to know, that is the traditional introduction at an AA meeting. I was a social worker for years. I hope this is his first step. I wish him well.
No matter where you're at, there you are
