For what it's worth UGA's A.J. Green will be out vs. UK

Mark Richt confirmed today in his weekly press conference, "A.J. will not play this week [vs. UK] for sure, and we're not certain after that." A.J. Green went out of last weekends game vs. Auburn with a shoulder injury and did not return. Green has lead the SEC in receiving yards for most of the season and is currently second in the league. Prior to the Auburn game Green carried the load for UGA's offense and I would have thought they would really be screwed without him. However, UGA rallied to put up 31 points after A.J. Green left the game! This forced them to run the ball which really worked in their favor because UGA was living and dying by the deep ball. If you had asked my opinion before last weekend  I would have picked UK beat UGA with or without A.J. Green because they were so one dimensional. Now, after seeing the balanced attack Green's absence forced them into, I think it may prove to be a tougher match up for UK without him in the lineup. What do you think?

Hate to see him hurt but we'd certainly like for him to rest this week, wouldn't we?

I bet that makes the defensive backs feel better by a bunch.
He’s All Amercan caliber and would give any, including Lindley, trouble.

I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.

I agree

Without Green it opens up some new weapons. The freshman, Washaun Ealey, tore Auburn up last week and got SEC Freshman of the Week honors. Our linebackers will need to be ready . Linebackers, can I have your attention – Watch the Counter Play.

Offensively, we should be more improvement in moving the ball – or else. Could be a high scoring game.

Things to watch for at UGA

I’m an alum, and diehard dawg fan.. haven’t missed a home game yet this season… few things to watch…

1.) Brandon Smith – Freshman who plays DB, but gets a few touches a game on offensive and his extremely explosive. Has amazing speed.
2.) Special teams – We’ve returned many kickoffs back this year.
3.) RBs.. Ealey and King. As always with UGA, the key to our entire offense is getting the run game going, if we do that, it opens us up to passing, Joe Cox (QB) is hot and cold, get at him early and he’ll be off.

Things that will determine the game..
- Pressure up front. UGA plays a horrible soft cover zone that relies on pressure up front. If we get that pressure, our D can look amazing. If not, anybody can pick it a part.
- KY stopping the run. If yall do this, I don’t like our chances at all.

UGA has better athletes and, no offense, should win this with ease, however, I don’t expect that to be the case. I just want the W.
