Around SBN: Has Kentucky Improved Since the Non-Conference Season?

It's R-E-S-P-E-C-T Time For The Football Cats

Winning the final two games of the season could bring it about.

Star-divide

The word we hear from Coach Brooks early in the year, respect, could come to the Blue Grass with two wins to finish the regular season.

Both Georgia and Tennessee are struggling, at least by their own standarts, to have a successful season. The Cats could cause the Bulldogs to settle for a State of Tennessee type bowl if they win in Athens. Not exactly what Richt and Crew had in mind before the season started.

The same could be said for Tenfnessee. A probable win over Vanderbilt will get them to six wins.  I doubt they would be all that fired up to go the Nashville or Memhis to spend the holiday season.

This is the time for the Cats to step up and go for the gusto.

Think it will happen?

It IS time....just dont know if we have the tools yet....

but we shall see come Saturday….I think that NEXT year’s Cats could beat both these teams….but they will improve also…Tennessee is still searching for their identity, and so is Georgia….I just hope they find it AFTER we beat them.

Remember, we're having fun now!!!

We'd love to beat

both but I’d settle for beating one of them. In my mind the best shot is Georgia. When you look at the team stats UK and GA play out to about a tie with maybe a slight edge for Kentucky. When we line up against Georgia it will be like playing against ourselves. The offenses are very similar although they are a little heavier toward the pass with AJ Green and we’re heavier toward the run with Locke/Cobb. Georgia has been short on getting turnovers and heavy on penalties which may be the edge we need.

Now if we beat Georgia, I’ll say that of the two Tennesse is the one we should win . ;-)

Need to Focus on the Dawg's

A win outside of Commonwealth against Georgia is what must be solely focussed on. Get that one accomplished…and coming home to play against Tennessee (and potentially some Volunteers sitting out for various reasons) will be a sweet way to line up the last game of the season.

Got to Throw everything (EVERYTHING) they’ve got against those “tween the hedges” Dawgs!!!
