The season is underway and UK exorcised the demons of VMI by winning their opener. Now they'll have the simultaneous opportunity to overcome the ghosts of Gardner-Webb and schools named Miami when they face Miami(OH) (henceforth referred to simply as "Miami") in the second game of the season.

I’m going to redo the points on “guess the score” type questions to make them fairer. It won’t be retroactive, but should improve things going forward.

Um,

so, I just took a peek at the results from GOG #1 and my question is — who thought this game was such a great idea, anyway?? Oh. Right. That would be me. I do take some solace in the fact that the person who introduced us to GOG did a bit worse than I did in the first round. ; )

I guess it’s sort of like golf, you can absolutely suck one round (one hole) and then somewhat mercifully – the next round (hole), you get a totally fresh start.

If at first you don’t succeed – try again….

I have a change!

I think there are like 7 minutes until tip-off, so I should be good. (I just listened to a little pre-game interview with the RedHawks coach and he sounded, well, not all that confident, and that coupled with Tru’s pre-game analysis, makes me want to change a few things : ))

If anything, my result for GOG #01 should prove to everyone there is no special advantage in playing the game!

Well, owning a time machine maybe. But if you have a time machine why are you wasting time playing the GOG?

and the time machine reference, good point. I just knew that I might be in last place after GOG #1. Thanks for helping me feel better if only for the first GOG. :-)
