Former Gillispie target Rotnei Clark sets SEC record for 3 pointers

Rotnei Clark hits on 13-17 threes as Arkansas wins 130-68 over Alcorn State. The former Gillispie recruit and Willie Warren chum scored 51 points. Pelphry has a gem in that one. I remember watching the grainy Youtube videos of him a couple summers ago when Gillispie was still new and fresh to us. Its a shame we missed out on him, he's the kind of zone-buster that Calipari could really use right about now.

did he leave on his own with the coaching change or did we tell him his life would be more fulfilling elsewhere?

He never signed with us

Gillispie recruited him and whiffed.

He would have been part of the Darius Miller/DeAndre Liggins recruting class.

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

I think Pelphrey needs him more

Woulda been nice for sure but I am happy that he’s at Arkansas for Pelphrey’s sake. With the multiple suspensions they needed a big win to get some confidence going…gonna be tough at UL though….if they get an upset I’ll put on a Razorback shirt for a day….well, maybe a couple of hours. :)

I really wanted that guy...

He was really high on the cats, but Grandma had other plans. She is a giant Hawgs and from what I heard she made it known that no way any grandchild of hers was going to play for anybody but Ark.
