Last Minute Anxiety Attack

I Say Thee Nay........

Woke up this morning with a bad case of pregame jitters. All of this talk about tempering expectations, living in the real world, and not asking for the impossible have me worried. Will the Cats freeze up in the moment? Will Cal walk out on that floor tonight and finally realize he has arrived at the Mecca and think he is not worthy? Will Patrick begin to doubt his returning to school and all that money he gave up?? Will John Wall think that maybe he should have went to Europe and forgot all about this college nonsense??? Will Big Cuz start to doubt himself?? Will Morehead show up with a fire in their eyes and rain 3's on us until we choke on them?? Will we be able to play some defense and not get a bad case of egocentricity?? Will the NCAA call at the last minute and claim Wall really isnt eligible to play the rest of the year? Is Bruce Pearl not just full of hot air and he really can beat Cal every time he sees him? Will the newcomersget a case of the shanks?? Will Billy Clyde dial in some psychic curse and doom us all to failure?? Does Mississippi State actually have enough to hang with us now that Vanardo has help? Will Devan Downey be able to run us ragged again??Will we ever hit another 3-pointer??

And then it happened, I woke up for real and realized it was only a nightmare........whew!

Cal's going to bring fear for every game

I have never in my life seen Kentucky fans so up tight about playing a school of Morehead State’s caliber. I know its coach speak from Cal but if we lose to Morehead then maybe we schoold go ahead and forteit the season and just use is as practice.
Morehead is Morehead. Kentucky with all it super recruits, big money coach and THE DRIBBLE DRIVE OFFENSE shouldn’t lose to a schoole in the OVC, The DDO alone is enough to scare most teams into rolling over.. That’s all we’ve heard about, well, there is the incident with the imfamous tree, since Cal got here.
Do you think if Transy put in the DDO they would win more?
I bet it’ll be a barn burner if Morehead has installed it. Burning up score boards right and left. Wouldn’t that be something to see.
C’mon Cal, if you going to tell us Morehead is scaring you what will you say aboiut North Carolina. We may have to call out the National Guard on that one.

I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.

Let’s see…….Cats freeze – lol no; Cal unworthy – no, he carves initials in floor; PPat doubt – no, leaves game laughing in new truck; Wall regret no Europe – no, all the girls here speak english; Big Cuz doubt – no, eats 3 MSU players before halftime; Morehead on fire with threes – yes, only during warmups; Cats play defense – no, we don’t need no stinkin’ defense (yet); NCAA call – no, life is sacred even to “The Immortals” at HQ; Pearl beat Cal – no, no again; New comers get shanks – not sure, is that past tense for shingles?; Billy Clyde to doom UK – no, too busy dooming himself; Miss State hang with us – no, somebody SEC team needs to be a threat to us, why not them?; Downey run on us – no, W – A – L – L (run into it, Devan); Another 3 pointer – yes, yes, yes, yes,…………………..yes, yes, etc. ;-)
