UK vs. UConn at the Garden
As we all know, our Cats will be travelling up here to New York to beat up on Calhoun's puppies at the "World's Most Famous Arena" on December 9th (game is at 9:00, preceded by St. John's vs. Georgia).
I just bought my tickets (www.thegarden.com) - sitting on the UK side, free throw line, 300 section - and I can't wait!
Here are the questions:
1) How many of my fellow ASoBers will be in attendance?
2) Does any know if UK (or an alum association) will be planning any organized gathering spot for pre- or post-game libations/Husky baiting?
3) And if the answer to #1 is yes, and #2 is no, would there be any interest in organizing something through this site? I may be willing to help with the logistics, if the interest is there. . .
Respond as you will.

Fun!!
I’m totally jealous.
If I lived within even a 300-mile radius I would so be there, and I would be more than ready to party with you. But, alas, I do not live even remotely close, so I’m sad to say that I will not be attending the UK/UCONN game at MSG.
You had better get your iPhone, Blackberry, or whatever else you have ready to go so you can upload some photos of your experience and share it with us. : )

Well, next time they decide to play at Montana State (or equivalent)
We’ll party at your place. . . :)

You Already Know This (Probably)
But every basketball fan should see at least 1 game at MSG in their lifetime.
I saw the first WNBA All-Star game there in 1999.

I got to see the Garden, but there was nothing going on at the time.....
AND it was 20 years ago….I am assuming it is much more now than it was then, but even then it was impressive.
Remember, we're having fun now!!!

We'll be going!
Can someone tell us which sections the UK fans are focusing on? Or which side the team bench is? We’d love to be amongst a bunch of alumni.
Thanks!

Seating
I don’t know exactly what sections UK specifically made available for tickets (apparently only sold to season ticket holders), but the side that starts with the low numbers (i.e, 101-112, 201-212, 201-312, etc.) is described as the “Away – UGA/UK” side, so I am assuming that is where the majority of our fans (and both of Georgia’s fans, from the early game) will be. (The high numbers – 118-129, 218-229, 318-329, etc. – are described as “Home – SJU/UConn”.)
If I remember my MSG geography correctly, that UK side faces the benches.

I'm in.
Here in New York already. I’d also be glad to help coordinate a happy hour(s) type event to meet up before the game.
Re: Forty’s comment: I’ve been to a few Big East tournaments (aka the Pitt Invitational) recently. I recall having tickets to an early-season UK game at MSG two years ago, but something went horribly, horribly wrong.
