Props to UK game plan

The game plan worked. Brooks, Sanders and Phillips knew that they were going to rely on the ground game more than any game this season. That meant they had to find a way to open up the defense with a good passing game. However, a good passing game was going to be difficult to achieve with Morgan Newton, a true freshman, and Will Fidler, the two backups. Who says you always have to catch it? There were more deep balls attempted against Auburn than other games this season. Most of them weren't caught, but it kept Auburn's LB, S, and CB honest in order to open up Ky's best ground performances of the season.

I loved the deep shots down field. I loved the passes on 1st down, which have been very few up until Saturday. Good job getting it done, Cats.

If you've read my past posts, my main two complains were the penalties, and the obscure play calling that didn't utilize Cobb to his ability. The win against Auburn showcased both problems remedied and the Cats get a huge in away. Go Cats!
