Patrick!!! Thanks For Being You!!!

My son sent me this link and if you can read through it and not cry, you're a tougher person than I am. As Jason King says.......Patrick is True Blue!!!! We all knew that he had the heart of a lion from watching him on the court. Now we know just how big that heart is.

Midnight Madness is upon us and what a great thing to read as we start this season.  We may not win a championship but we've obviously got a champion on the team!!!

Excellent article

You can’t ask for a better person to represent the University of Kentucky. I hope his actions on and off the court rub off on some of the younger guys.

Yep

“The lights inside Rupp Arena had been off for 20 minutes, but Patrick Patterson wasn’t ready to leave. Not as long as there were still pictures to take, he said. Not as long as there were autographs to sign and fans to meet.”

This was my experience when we attended the Ole Miss game two years ago. You know, the one where Pat fractured his ankle! He was hobbling around on his one good foot and signed every autograph. He, his dad, and his girlfriend were among the last to leave the Arena. He was 100% class act to everyone who stayed. I was thoroughly impressed. He’s one we’ll always be glad wore the blue and white. Hope he dominates in the NBA for the next decade or so… after winning a NC this year, of course! :)

So Awesome...

I posted that article on the AOL Wildcats Message Board too.

It’s so wonderful to see this guy – this amazingly talented and intelligent young man do the things he does without a thought of hey every one look at me. I wish we could say the same about so many of our pro athletes.

I know our family will become fans of whichever NBA team is fortunate enough to get Patrick – except the Lakers LOL
