Patterson and Meeks give UK recruiting a boost
LEXINGTON - As good as Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson have been for Kentucky this year, their play might mean even more for UK in the future.

Success Helps Recruiting, Too
The 2003 team went 32-4 and finished the season ranked #1 in AP poll.
Voila! UK signed the #1 recruiting class in 2004 the year after that success.
The 1998 team went 35-4 and won the NCAA title.
Bingo! UK signed a Top 3 rated class in 1999 headlined by Keith Bogans and Marvin Stone.
Surprisingly (to me), UK did not follow up its stellar 1996 and 1997 seasons with recruiting success either year.
