Some, uh, interesting selections; some not so surprising.

We have the number 8 and 14 players on the list

You’d think that’d get us a little national recognition as a team.

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

I should point out

Only North Carolina has two players also in the top 15.

Surely a combination of Meeks' performance and a UK win on the road will garner ...

… Kentucky some love in the polls next week. Beat UGA and there can be no believable excuse as to why they aren’t ranked. They haven’t been ranked since the preseason poll last year.

That’s a looong time for UK not to be ranked.

Normally I’m not concerned with rankings until Feb. or so, but I’m ‘jonesing’ to see Big Blue back in the polls.

High praise and Kudos for Patterson, the beginning of recognition for Meeks

It is clear that Patterson is the smallest PF ranked as high as he is and rightly or wrongly it also shows a bias toward successful NBA prospects weighing in the 245-255 range. IMO this gives Patterson a reason to stay next year and show up at that size in a UK uniform. Otherwise, he would scould sign and gain the weight/muscle before his first NBA game like Rondo did. Due to his personality, I believe a hard nosed Coach G is just the type of coach needed to bring the mild mannered Patrick (Clark Kent/Superman) out of his shell. That’s the main reason I think he should stay.

IMHO I also see Jodie continuing to rise in these charts. An extra 10 lbs of muscle on him would continue the rumor of being a Wade look-a-like. He has been taught the importance of defense by two very good coaches and has a wonderful God-given ability to score. Jodie has been working hard on and has improved his ball handling and rebounding as well.

It is obvious, people are noticing the talent that we have at UK. Next year we will improve our athleticism and offensive threat at the LG, Wing, and Post positions. Building on what we are already seeing now, it should be quite a year.

That's the 2010 Draft...

So its after his senior year.

Mock drafts for this year are barely worth the pixels that show up on the screen. Mock drafts for next year aren’t even worth the electrons it takes to move my cursor from right to left as I type this message.

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

As I look over it more in depth

It really is ridiculous.

And my new nomination for most unfortunate name ever…

Semen Shashkov SF
19 years old; 6’8"; 183 lbs.
CSKA Moscow, International

D'oh!

Left to right! Not right to left! I swear I’m not dyslexic!

We still need an edit button Tru!

No way.

If I have to have my mistakes exposed, so do you. :-)

Haha, I know it's 2010 :-)
