Really? People are surprised by this?
Everything I ever read on Hopson told me this is how things would play out for him. Maybe Coach Pearl will have some luck with him, but Gillispie wasn’t the coach for him and I never was one of those saying we should go for him.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

You could tell by the halfhearted way BCG recruited him that he didnt really want him and was only making an effort to appease the fan base. I was never high on this kid and am totally glad that we got Miller instead. Trust the coach.

knows what he’s doing. Compare Hopson to say, Sloan and I think gives you a good idea of what he likes to see in a recruit. Mainly toughness and effort.
